For the account redesign we had the challenge to incorporate all four retail banners and all their requirements. We created a device agnostic design that is themeable for each brand. By changing one variable, it can be restyled for each brand. We also used the card design system to organzie information. Along with a horizonal scrolling menu, this component-based architecture is flexible and scalable for future iterations such as loyalty programs and favorites integration.

SOLVING FOR CREDIT CARD DETECTION WITH IN-HOUSE CREDIT
We introduced credit card detection with the account experience but we had to solve for the top 4 credit cards, international credit cards and in-house credit card values. This brought conflicts between the store credit card numbers and the major ones. For example, Visa is always associated with the number 4. However that's also a number for the Saks store card. We created rules for each card group and number of digits when the card type would appear. We gave preference to the larger credit card groups and created a logic for when the numbers only matched specific accounts.
